Friedrich builds the through-wall, vertical-closet and ductless equipment that cools Valley condos, casitas and additions. Bleuwave services it as an independent contractor, and tells you when a repair is worth it.
Schedule today — we’re here 24/7.

If your building is a mid-rise or a converted hotel, the condominium HVAC page covers the access and HOA questions that come before any repair.
Vertical closet units have a different failure. They depend on a louvered door and a clear return to move air, and a closet used for storage starves them. The unit ices, the coil sweats, the ceiling stains. Before calling anyone, check the thermostat mode, replace the filter, clear the closet and reset the breaker once if it tripped. Anything past that belongs to a technician; opening the chassis is not a homeowner job.
Mini splits fail more quietly. A blower wheel packed with fine dust loses capacity a little each summer, a condensate line grows a clog, a control board throws a code. The through-wall and PTAC guide and our mini split service page go deeper on both branches.
Vert-I-Pak and mini split systems deserve more consideration. A capacitor, a fan motor, a drain repair or a board on a unit under ten years old is normally a sound repair. A refrigerant leak on a unit built for a refrigerant being phased down is a different conversation. Our repair-versus-replace guide lays out the questions in order, and the estimates and financing page explains how the number gets built and what financing on approved credit looks like.
A web page cannot size a replacement or diagnose a fault. A technician standing in the closet can.
Routine care matters more for room air than for any other category, because the filter is small and the dust is not. Our maintenance guide covers the annual checklist, and a seasonal visit before May catches the drain and coil issues that turn into July emergencies.

We are an independent contractor, not a Friedrich dealer. We service Friedrich equipment already in your home and can replace a failed unit with whatever equipment fits the opening and the load. Which brand that turns out to be is decided on site, not on this page.
Check that the thermostat is set to cool, replace the filter if it is dirty, and clear anything stored in front of the return or louvered door. Turn the unit off and let the ice melt. If it freezes again after that, the cause is airflow or refrigerant and needs a technician; do not open the cabinet yourself.
Mechanically, yes. Practically, a compressor on a sleeve unit usually costs more than the chassis is worth, and the sleeve stays in the wall, so a chassis swap is often the cheaper and faster path. We quote both when both are realistic. The PTAC guide explains the chassis-and-sleeve arrangement.
Humid air condenses more water on the coil, and a pan or drain path that was marginal in June overflows in August. The unit may also be pitched slightly toward the room instead of outside. Both are correctable; see our condensate leak page for what to do in the meantime.
A properly sized head in an insulated garage can. In an uninsulated block garage with a west-facing door, no equipment does well. Sizing depends on the room, the insulation and the sun exposure, which is why we measure before recommending; the garage cooling page covers the tradeoffs.
Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and follow the serial number. We do not administer them and make no claims about them. We document every visit so that if a warranty question comes up, you have a service record to hand over.
The data plate on the chassis or inside the front panel lists the model and serial. Photograph it and send it with your service request. Families we recognize from our reference data are Breeze, Floating Air, Vert-I-Pak, PTAC and Uni-Fit; anything else we will identify on site.

Through-wall, closet or ductless, the diagnosis happens on site. Book an evaluation and get a flat-rate number before any work begins.
